Introduction to Llamas (maximum of 4 people)
|
This introduction lasts three hours. Beginning with
a presentation on llamas, their background and care, we move on to
meet the Bryngwyn llamas up close and then take a llama for a walk
around the farm. Coffee and tea are included. The cost
(including VAT) is £75.00 per person. |

Introduction to Angora goats (maximum of 4 people)
|
This introduction lasts three hours. Beginning with
a presentation on angora goats, their background and care, we then
move on to meet the Bryngwyn angoras up close. We will examine
their individual fleece characteristics and presentation for shows.
This includes haltering and walking a goat around a ring in a mini show.
Coffee and tea are included. The cost (including VAT) is £75.00
per person. |

Basic Husbandry
|
How to look after llamas or angoras on a day to day
basis. This includes routine vaccinations, worming, toenail
trimming/ foot trimming, body scoring, teeth and nutrition. Coffee
and tea are included. The cost (including VAT) is £75.00 per
person. |

Advanced Llama Husbandry
|
This course looks at pasture management, buildings,
catch-pens, breeding and the care of pregnant females and the herd sire.
Coffee and tea are included. The cost (including VAT) is £75.00
per person. |

Halter work and leading
|
How to halter train llamas and introduce them to lead
work. This course introduces some alternative approaches to llamas
who are difficult to halter or lead. Each attendee will have the
opportunity to catch, halter and lead several different llamas.
Coffee and tea are included. The cost (including VAT) is £75.00
per person. |

Tailor-made husbandry courses
|
Please contact us if you have any special requirements or
particular interests in llamas or angora goats that you feel are not
covered in our standard courses and we will do our best to tailor a
course to suit you. Price will be dependent upon the exact nature
of your requirements. |

Beadwork (maximum of 4 people)
|
Courses cover a variety of beadwork techniques including
amulet bags, spiral ropes, individual stitches including peyote and
brick stitch, as well as the important finishing touches of toggles and
clasps. The precise content of the course is tailored to suit the
interests of the participants and is arranged at the time of booking.
Coffee and tea are included. The cost (including VAT) is £55.00
per person. (Materials are not included). |

Needlefelted teddy bears (maximum of 4 people) |
Learn the art of needlefelting using a variety of fibres
including llama and mohair by making your own miniature teddy bear.
Coffee and tea are included. The cost (including VAT) is £60.00
per person including materials. (Basic kits are also available for
purchase if you wish to continue this technique at home). |

Crochet teddy bears (maximum of 4 people) |
Learn basic crochet techniques while making your own
miniature teddy bear using perl cotton. Coffee and tea are
included. The cost (including VAT) is £60.00 per person including
materials. |

Courses run throughout the year and are
limited to a maximum of between four to six participants depending on
the course. They can be tailored to suit the individual and can
even be run on a one to one basis if preferred.
