Bryngwyn Llamas |

|
At Bryngwyn, all our foundation stock llamas have been chosen with great care not only for their excellent conformation but also for their even temperament. Our two older brood llamas have always produced excellent cria (baby llamas) and this year's male cria is being retained as a future herd sire. We also have two younger females due to produce their first Bryngwyn cria around August 2007. This is particularly exciting as one of the females is Xibi-Xibi who was reserve Champion at the Camelids Association Show in September 2005.
Due to the fact that over handling of baby llamas can lead to behavioural problems we only begin to handle and train our llamas once they are weaned at around eight months. This helps to ensure that our cria develop properly as llamas and remain gentle, non-aggressive and extremely inquisitive. One of the most endearing qualities of our llamas is the fact that they just have to know what is going on around them and if you stand still in field of llamas they just have to come over and take a look.
All our llamas are halter trained and taken for walks along bridle paths, open fields usually full of sheep, and local roads before they are offered for sale. Where possible they will also have attend local shows to expose them to as many sights and sounds as possible. This ensures that any of our llamas offered for sale will have been well handled and trained to a high standard. We also offer support and training to anyone interested in purchasing one of our llamas and we offer a range of short introductory courses to allow prospective buyers to decide whether or not llamas are for them. So please contact us whether you want your llamas as field pets, companion animals, guard llamas or breeding stock.
Stud Services are also available. |
